So in short, no dont bother investing into GTS until you actually have income. but wait till you have like 2 or 3 liberated zones and you are getting a large amount of cash coming in. by then you'll want the bigger squads for story missions and HQ raids and what not. when income is actually flowing heavily and the enemy has a ton of different units that you need a bigger squad to handle. but again base comes first.Īs for the squad upgrades, you dont need them until the mid to late game. Lighting strike is another one one that is actually really good in the early game because there is a lot of stealth missions you can do and being able to get to the objective asap is a great thing to have. but again not a priority to get early on. What is the difference between XCOM 2 and War of the chosen War of the Chosen is the new massive expansion to XCOM 2, and is more of a total overhaul of the base game than a traditional expansion.

thats when wet work starts to be worth getting. Wet work isnt worth too much since killing enemies is not a priority anyore except when you start doing missions with "enemy materials" as it's reward. though if you are able to find everything you need for your team, this may not be too interesting.

also once you get the proving grounds, you need to spend 3 of any given weapon mod in order to make that specific mod buildable. thus allowing you to gear up every team member in your game, and believe me you will want to gear up everyone and not take them off.

Vulture is the only one I can see that is worth getting early because since theres so many loot drops, this is going to double that amount. You shouldnt be getting any of the GTS upgrades until you start actually getting income and you build the basics for your base.
